Dr. Khalsa travels and teaches internationally as a Professional Teacher Trainer for Kundalini Yoga, as co-author of Enlightened Bodies, she brings an awareness of the human body’s potential to self heal in her work.
Her studies of energy medicine, yoga and herbal medicine and their role in modern healthcare began 20 years ago after her graduation from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s of Science. She earned her next degree as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) which empowers her consultations with authenticity and truth. Her treatments allow for in depth shifts in the frequency and pulse of an individual so they can transform the gaps in their lives. She has a special alignment with women’s health; supporting all women to be empowered through meditation, yoga and the use of specific herbs to support a woman’s health through all the times of her life.
As Development Chair for the Guru Ram Das Center of Medicine & Humanology, she advocates for Kundalini Yoga Therapy as a low cost, low risk healthcare intervention with positive, no side effect outcomes for the patient.
As a second generation physician, Dr. Khalsa’s life mission is to empower each person to feel the interconnection with all the Universe and to tap into the healing power inherent in each one of us.
